How to Create AI Template using CawCut

Learn how to turn a CawCut workflow into an AI-powered VN Template and share it with a QR code.

Get Started with CawCut

CawCut lets you fully customize an AI workflow for your exact creative needs, then turn it into a template you can run repeatedly in VN while on the go. This gives you more control over how AI fits your workflow instead of waiting for a future built-in AI feature that may not provide the functions or results you need.

You can also share the template with other VN users. They only need to provide the selected text or images and do not need to understand or edit the CawCut workflow behind it.

Before creating the template:

  1. Go to app.cawcut.com and register for an account or sign in.
  2. Read CawCut 101 to learn how to navigate CawCut and work with its AI models, nodes, and workflows.
  3. Create the workflow that will power the template. If you are new to AI Workflow tool like CawCut, Start with a Template to access pre-build workflows so you can be familiarized on how AI Workflow functions.
  4. Run the workflow at least once and confirm that it produces the result you want.

The workflow controls how the content is generated. The VN Template gives users a guided way to provide selected text or images and receive the intended result without editing the workflow itself.

Create the VN Template

After testing your workflow, open it in CawCut and briefly complete these steps:

  1. Select Share, then choose Create VN Template.
  2. Choose the text or image inputs that VN users can provide. Use Keep input if users may use the content already included in the workflow.
  3. Select the final image or video outputs that users should receive.
  4. Add the template name, description, and preview media, then review the estimated credits and sharing information.
  5. Generate the VN Template QR code.

Create VN Template option in the CawCut Share menu

For screenshots, field-by-field explanations, input and output guidance, and details about Keep input, follow Create a VN Template in CawCut.

Tip
Keep the VN Template setup simple. Only expose the inputs users need to change and only return outputs that are useful to them.

Test and Share the Template

Before publishing the template, open VN and scan the QR code as an end user would. Check that:

  • Each input has a clear name and instruction.
  • Inputs with Keep input enabled can use the included content.
  • Required inputs ask users for their own text or image.
  • The template returns the correct image or video.
  • The preview and credit estimate match the experience.

If you need help scanning or opening the code, see How to Use VN Template.

When the test is successful, select Download QR Code in CawCut and share the saved code. Place the template name and a short description near it so users understand what the template creates and what input they should prepare.
