How to Create a VN Template
You can create a template from your project to keep its structure and effects for future reuse or sharing.
1. Select the project you want to create a template from, then tap [...] button.
2. Tap [Create Template] button.
3. Select the replaceable footage. Users can replace the selected footage with their own.
4. Tap [Next] button to go to the Publish Template screen.
5. On the Publish Template page, enter the title, description (optional), and edit the QR code cover.
6. Set the template usage permissions.
- User's Footage Size: Allows users to choose whether to crop their footage to match the template size or keep the original dimensions.
- Keep User's Footage Audio: Determines whether the audio from the user's footage is retained when filling the template.
- Allow to Edit: When turned on, users can enter the full editing interface after previewing the filled template, allowing for deeper customization and adjustments.
- Allow to Change Frame: Sets whether users can adjust the aspect ratio of the template.
Interface Description:
- Filled Preview Interface: Users can replace media and make basic adjustments such as applying filters, cropping, and editing audio.
- Full Editing Interface: Users can modify the overall structure of the template, including clip order, transitions, filters, text, stickers, and more.
7. Tap the [Save the file] button.
8. Upload the template to Google Drive or Dropbox or other web drive. (Take Google Drive for example).
9. After uploading the file, tap [More] button.
10. Tap [Manage Access] button.
11. Adjust the file permissions to ensure anyone with the link can access the file.
12. Go back to the previous step and tap [Copy Link] button.
13. Return to VN and paste the file link into the “Download Link” box.
14. Tap [Save and Publish] button.
How to Share a VN Template? (QR Code)
Once created, templates can be shared with others via a generated QR code, or published to social platforms for broader use.
1. Tap on the template you want to share in Your Projects > Template.
2. Tap [Share] button.
3. Tap [VNFlow Code] button.
4. Tap [Save] or [Share] button, then share the code with others to use.
How to Share a VN Template? (Template File)
Once created, templates can also be shared via a template file (.vnt), which allows you to control how others use your content — including export limits, expiration, or password protection.
1. Open the template you want to share from Your Projects > Template.
2. Tap the [Share] button.
3. Tap [Share VNFlow File].
4. Set a protection mode (optional):
- Read-only: Others can import media and preview the template in VN, but cannot export the video.
- Protect Project: You can enable:
- Password (require password to open the file)
- Expiration (set an expiration date for access)
- Export Limits (limit the number of times the video can be exported)
5. After setting, share the template file (.vnt) with others.
